Prototype 'Dubliner' Briefcase

This briefcase was made in 2022, using American vegetable-tanned cowhide. It's a prototype in an upcoming range of 'welted-construction' bags: a distinct construction style that is similar to how high-end shoes are made.

The outside welt entirely surrounds the main section of the bag: this means that in use, the shoulder strap and main carry handle will never compromise or pull against the body of the bag. Many traditionally-made bags have their handles and straps stitched directly to the side of the bag, which eventually leads to stretching, broken stitching, or torn leather. This construction mitigates this.

The main flap closure on the front is held shut using a strong rare-earth magnet, shielded on the interior side as to now affect electronics or bank cards. The main, front compartment is generously-sizes and contains smaller pockets for electronics, money, or accessories. The back zippered pocket is perfect for papers, valuables, or your phone.

The entire interior is lined with a chocolate suede. All hardware and zippers are silver-coloured.
